Grande Provence Estate

Franschhoek

The stylish Grande Provence Estate in Franschhoek is more than just a wine destination - it also offers chic and contemporary dining at The Restaurant, top South African art at The Gallery and The Shop, and a superb venue for intimate receptions and events at The Jonkershuis. The estate is wonderfully picturesque with its beautiful 18th century Manor House being framed by age-old oaks and sweeping vistas of vineyards and mountains.

The 300-year old estate, surrounded by 47-acres of lush vines, produces award-winning wines under wine maker Karl Lambour. The Winery at Grande Provence is open for wine tasting from 10h00 - 18h00 daily with Cellar Tours on weekdays at 11h00 and 15h00, except during harvest.

While the 18th Century Manor House and The Owner’s Cottage reflect a Huguenot heritage, The Restaurant and wine-tasting area of Grande Provence are modern and chic with an industrial edge. The Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner – reservations recommended, particularly on weekends.

Showcasing top South African art, The Gallery is open 10h00 - 18h00 October to April and 10h00 - 17h00 May - September. And, why not end off your visit at The Shop which showcases furniture, paintings, jewellery, ceramics, glass, sculpture, textiles and a selection of traditional African art.

For those wishing to linger a while, exclusive and luxurious accommodation is available in the beautifully decorated The Owner’s Cottage and La Provençale.
